Description

One in five children who use Internet chatrooms have been approached by a paedophile online. This pop-up was designed to resemble an instant private message box – like those used by children in chatrooms. It appeared unprompted on screen displaying a friendly message apparently written by another child, followed by the line: This is how easy it is for a paedophile to get into your home. A link was supplied to an NCH page where parents could find out what precautions they should be taking to protect their child online.
