OVERVIEW

Description

The Project's Objectives: To offer those interested in church/Christianity the chance to find out how Christian faith relates to life, and offer a place to ask and debate questions of faith. The strategy: Create a site with a friendly, yet strong style. Employ a deliberately light-hearted informal tone throughout the site to make it appealing and accessible.

Capture the user by creating an engaging interface. Develop interactive, themed topic areas that answer the need for people to be allowed to find out for themselves, rather than being preached to. Create a central reference point to "real" church.co.uk events.

Execution: The site is based around a house navigation metaphor, with different subject areas denoted by different rooms in the house. 'Teaser' animations, at the entry point to reach content area, help to raise interest in the subjects covered. The site has scope to accomodate highly focused information, by providing forum-style message boards.Summary: Fortune Cookies delivered a uniquely stylish informative, and entertaining website that takes a progressive and dynamic approach to the many subjects relevant to the Church. The site has successfully promoted the work of the Oasis Trust and related "real" church.co.uk events in Central London.
