To promote Cuenca as a tourist destination, we decided to wrap as a present its most emblematic monument, The Hanging Houses (a building from the 14th century and World Heritage Site) turning that image into a huge advertisement to communicate our concept ‘Take Cuenca with you’. A campaign to share with all its tourists the best of Cuenca.
Outcome
The campaign raised more than €375,000 from free publicity. It appeared on more than 80 media, even the most important Spanish newspapers and TV channels. And, more importantly, tourism to Cuenca from the rest of Spain increased by 45% in the 6 months following the campaign.
