Execution
Latet collaborated with Shaker, an application that turns Facebook into a virtual pub. By using Shaker's successful platform, during the 8 days of Hanukkah, the virtual pub turned into a virtual street party, full of live concerts by performers and top celebrities in Israel. Special avatars were created for them. In the party, the users could chat with others, dance and of course enjoy the concerts. The performers and celebrities walked around the party, letting users chat and take photos with them. By sending a text message, users could donate to the organisation and in return get a virtual Latet T-shirt, so that everyone would know they donated.
There were Latet stands scattered throughout the party where users could click and register as volunteers.
Outcome
In 8 days the party reached thousands of users who spent an average of 20 minutes in it, and most importantly - the organisation signed 129 new volunteers and received huge coverage of about 2m unique visitors from earned media.
