Background
In 1996, the original Scenic was a fresh and modernised version of the family car. Today, the Scenic E-Tech is a testament to the evolution of Renault’s brand. It exemplifies how we can reduce the harmful impact of a vehicle’s life cycle whilst pushing the boundaries of technology and still prioritising its users.
To reflect this, we wanted to create a campaign that was both experimental and human. If the new Renault Scenic is revolutionary, bold and exciting, our work needed to be too.
The vision was this: ebbs and flows of experimental high-energy visuals, punctuated with highly crafted and seductive imagery, taking the viewer on a frenetic journey from the foundations to the next generation of the Renault Scenic. To tell a story of transformation and rebirth through fresh, contemporary design and direction.
The goal was simple: Create an instant classic that will be remembered for years to come.
Execution
The film launches the all new 100% electric edition of the Renault Scenic. It tells the story of an extensive transformation from old to new: everything’s changed but the name.
A mix of animation, fashion editorial and car photography takes the viewer through the new features of the Renault Scenic, with a focus on sustainability and user experience. Jean-Michel Jarre’s soundtrack nods to the car’s sound signature designed by him.
The film presents a bold new futuristic vision for the brand.
