Anyone can be part of the Black Pixel Project – the effort is minimal.By putting a tiny black square on their monitors, people save energy. And when we consider the energy savings of all the people involved in the project, it’s clear that small actions can make a big difference. So far, more than 1 million watts have been saved through the project. The website had more than 560,000 unique visitors. The local government of Teresina, Piauí’s capital city, signed a commitment with Greenpeace and installed the Black Pixel programme on more than 3 thousand computers in their offices, schools, reception desks and partner companies.
