Description
We decided to profile four creative talents who have not only journeyed far and wide but who use the experiences gained on their travels as the foundation of their work.
Seamus Mullen is a Vermont-born chef whose apprenticeship in European kitchens informs the world-class Spanish restaurant he now runs in New York City. Will Holland, aka Quantic, is a British musician who makes music to a Colombian beat in Brooklyn. John Robshaw is an American textile designer who spends six months of each year collaborating with artisans in Jaipur, India. Barry Jenkins is the director of the Oscar-winning movie Moonlight, and he says he had to leave Miami in order to capture his native city through fresh eyes.
Together these four artists redefine what it means to be “Continental.”
