Description

How can we make the manner cultivation movie more familiar? Then, we put a smartphone on the SAMURAI’s hand to make the scene of using smartphone while walking extraordinary, because such a terrible scene has become our daily scene.

“SANKIN-KOUTAI” is one of Japanese traditional and familiar culture which is known by every Japanese people. It is the system of commuting to Edo to all SAMURAI every other year. We focus on the similarity between SANKIN-KOUTAI and commuting of today, so we make them have a smartphone.

Execution

We made this movie monochromatic to stand on web site. Decreasing the frame rate and making sounds to actions, the dangerous action of SAMURAI is emphasized. In this way, we change the danger of using smartphone while walking to sardonic humor.

Outcome

This movie has 140 million views on youtube and facebook. 10+ TV shows and many web sites picked up.

And also a high school uses this movie in the class to teach the danger of using smartphone while walking.This is not just a viral movie, but a teaching material in high school.
