Background

The relationship between the supporter and Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, one of the biggest football clubs from Brazil, and the world, is unique. Border the supernatural. The love, devotion and fanaticism – which grows in the most difficult times – is so big that this crowd became known as “Faithful Crowd”. They are millions of believers that call the club “Almighty”. Who peregrinate to the world clubs in Japan. And makes being Corinthiano, a doctrine. But, in this century, the club won everything, became the biggest power of the country and was even world champion over Chelsea. With this, that essence of suffering, fidelity and redemption was lost. In order to rescue this supporter's DNA, this campaign officializes and establishes the foundations of Corinthianism - the religion of the Corinthian fan, using the words of one of the club's greatest idols.

Execution

The movie shows the unique relationship between the supporter and Sport Club Corinthians Paulista, one of the biggest football clubs from Brazil, and the world. The love, devotion and fanaticism – which grows in the most difficult times – is so big that this crowd became known as “Faithful Crowd”. Dr. Sócrates, one of the greatest idols of Corinthians appears as a kind of prophet, where he tells about the great space that Corinthians has in the lives of their fans, establishing a relationship that borders the supernatural. The movie, recordered in black and white – symbolizing the colors of Corinthians – brings some religious references, such as the image of Saint Jorge pouring a tear for the defeats suffered by the club; a supporter carrying his own cross: the flag of the club; and a suffering Corinthian, that substitutes the place of Jesus in Pietá, work from Michelangelo.
