Description

The strategy we employed was to make the piece look like a pay slip, not only would this be read in private by the intended recipient but it would also emphasise the confidential nature of the payment of rewards by Crimestoppers.We hoped that this combination would encourage and persuade people to come forward without any fear of being found out.

Outcome

Due to the nature of this piece and the confidentiality of Crimestoppers any results would be almost impossible to quantify. But this activity along with other Met Police initiatives has seen a 6.9% reduction in street robbery in the capital in the past year.
