Description

The packaging was designed on two levels.

First, to serve as a light source in the dark when a person was reaching out for it, in the event of a power cut, and a blackout. This prompted the use of all black packaging that highlighted the selective radium printing, so that the packs glowed in the dark.

Secondly, through the use of intricate illustration, monsters were created out of harmless objects at home, bringing to life the idea that darkness made every object in a room a source of potential mishap. Each time a user reached out for the pack, it was a reassuring reminder that light, and safety, was close at hand.

Execution

We Intricately illustrated elements from different rooms like Kitchen, Living room and kids room to make them look like monsters on three specially designed illuminating packs, this figure would then glow in the dark one there is a power cut. Helping the consumer to reach out to it.

it was made sure that in order to illustrate a monster, we use common elements that people would relate to and use it in their homes. Carefully crafting the typography on the side panels to fit the design on the whole.

We printed them on hard black art card, with a double layer printing with inns that glow in the dark.

Outcome

Limited edition packs were created and tested. The idea is much appreciated and found to be functionally refreshing by consumers.

The success of these has prompted a plan to execute the idea on a more significant scale.
