Due to its size, Langenscheidt’s dictionaries are perfect for people on the go, and for people on the run - like some graffiti artists. By correcting common spelling mistakes in existing graffiti, we show that a dictionary can improve anyone's writing.
Outcome
Thousands of passers-by were amused by our corrections. Langenscheidt were not able to quantify sales figures, but at least one graffiti artist actually corrected his art work.
