Description
We turned stray dogs from the Foundation into real stars, we made more than 70 cross-bred dogs become famous, infiltrating them on magazines, newspapers, soap-operas, concerts and TV shows along with renowned Colombian artists. This way they stopped being ignored and became DOGSTARS, the most attractive dogs to be adopted.
Execution
We chose 70 crossbred dogs from the Foundation and with the help of stylists we prepared them for a high-quality photo shoot that we posted on the website www.adoptaundogstar.com along with a description of their talents and personalities.
The web page was promoted on different media through celebrities who joined the cause. Thanks to that, the dogs from the Foundation were invited along with many more national celebrities, to different events and communication media, which made them famous very fast.
Anyone who wanted to adopt one of this dogs, had to do the casting on the web page, which evaluated if they were fit to have a Dogstar as a pet.
Outcome
With a budget of just USD $310 the campaign reached a free-press ROI of USD $271.000.
In just 3 months, from the 90 adoptions expected, 700 were achieved.
