Domestic violence is alarmingly prevalent. 1 in 4 relationships result in domestic violence. 2 women every week are killed by violence perpetrated by partners or ex-partners. So people needed to be made aware of this.
So instead of traditional media, we decided to talk to people in the streets. We took an ambulance and dressed it like a married couple’s honeymoon car (‘Just married’ sign, balloons and tin cans). And as it travelled around Tower Hamlets we had a poster van driving behind explaining ‘Every week 2 women are killed by partners or ex-partners’.
