Marmite is a savoury spread well known for its distinctive, strong flavour, which has become an iconic British brand.
For over 25 years, our ad campaigns have consistently communicated this insight about Marmite. People either love it or hate it.
We wanted to depict a further insight about Marmite. That those who really can’t stand it, see the innocent contamination of Marmite into other spreads as an absolute crime.
The image alone of this accidental Marmite spreading felt powerful, relatable and worthy to warn the nation against: Lovers, don’t spread the hate.
