Honda 'Dream Makers' is a rollercoaster ride through the creative process and techniques involved in bringing dreams to life. It showcases the incredible craft and innovation that goes into filmmaking. Each scene features four characters and four Honda models.

Conceived as a sketch, realised as a final image and everything in-between; the distinct genres are meticulously crafted at a rapid pace taking us through the various stages – from scripting to storyboards, through CGI to grading – ending in the perfectly crafted visual.

Each sequence follows a simple narrative with a setup and pay off. The process represents an analogy of the passion and relentless pursuit of excellence behind both great films and Honda vehicles.

Dream Makers plays homage to all types of animation. It features cel/hand-drawn, stop-frame, motion graphics, 2D Vector-based animation, pre-vis, 3D animation and simulation.

The whole idea focuses on bringing ideas and drawings to life. Animation is at the heart of achieving this.

The main challenge was to write a basic narrative that had a set up and payoff. Each idea is set in a different film genre and told through the various developments of the creative process. Inanimate elements: storyboards, concept drawings, typed and hand-written words are all brought to life to tell the story through animation.
