Description
In order to maintain the essence of the business; we came up with a design project that combined their two main attractions, literature and drinks. The idea was to take the most memorable quotes from literary classics and re imagine them as if they were situations someone could have at the bar after having a few drinks. Our Drunken Literature campaign, a cocktail of literary quotes with a tipsy twist, is a series of 15 visually striking typographic poster series. Each design interacts with a quote in a simple, yet playful manner using minimal elements that won't take your attention away from the copy.
Execution
The different posters were designed so that they perfectly blend with the brand’s corporate color. Using the most essential element found in books, typography, we crafted each design with the corresponding quote in mind so that they interact with each other in a subtle manner. We also incorporated a small flat at the bottom, which alludes to a book page and the common tendency to bend the edge of the page. Since it was an in-store poster campaign, it was a small-scale production. Nevertheless, it’s social media outreach keep growing every day.
Outcome
In only 13 days we saw a significant increase in social media followers, sales and consumer satisfaction. Clients have been responding to the campaign in a very positive way, collecting the different promotional items available in the store. All the messages have been shared throughout social media and in only 13 days there’s been a 32% increase on Facebook followers. On Instagram, videos with the animated quotes have gotten the brand a 133% of new followers. Sales have also increase about a 19% compared sales in the first days of April 2015.
Up to this moment the campaign have achieved its main objective, which was to create engagement with its existing clients and gain new potential clients from all the new social media following.
