One of Brazil’s greatest teams and the largest fan base in the world, Flamengo won its most prestigious title in 1981. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of this title, Duracell created the “Brilliant Victory”.The Flamengo jersey was outfitted with a simple, battery-powered device. With a Duracell battery fixed on the sleeve, it made the World Title star on the jersey literally shine. On November 17th 2011, the whole team entered the pitch wearing the special edition jerseys.Almost a million spectators watched the match on Brazil’s biggest sports channel. The stunt was so successful it went beyond just the sports media, making headlines in major news broadcasts across the country, newspaper and online media.It was definitely a moment that lasted longer.
