Description

During the World Cup, Argentina's largest delivery app PedidosYa, sought ways to help the popular, yet unassisted neighborhood clubs affected by the economic crisis. Since in most cases the club’s canteens represent an income we saw an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

Despite serving simple yet flavorful dishes uncommon on delivery apps we thought that the context of the Fifa World Cup, would bring an emotional connection with canteens that could still make consumers choose them among the classic options on the menu.

So for the first time, we integrated the canteens that fed each of players from Argentina's national team into PedidosYa's platform. This initiative allowed anyone to enjoy the same meals enjoyed by Lionel Messi when he was just Lio. Simple meals like a milanesa sandwich, empanadas or pebetes. Proceeds from these orders went directly to supporting neighborhood clubs and their mission to nurture young football talents.

Our campaign featured canteen owners as protagonists, but we also worked closely with them to efficiently manage increased order volumes. We provided specialized packaging, waived fees, and implemented a comprehensive distribution system to ensure seamless operations.

By integrating these canteens into PedidosYa's platform, we not only provided a unique dining experience but also empowered these small clubs to generate revenue, aiding them in navigating the economic challenges gripping Argentina.
