Description
We created a launch campaign that is made entirely with one of the oldest Turkish art forms: Ebru. By bringing three most anticipated Netflix Original Shows and Ebru together, 100% handicraft unique art pieces were created with the help of contemporary artist Garip Ay.
Traditionally, Ebru is a static art form that takes place on paper. For our campaign, we’ve captured the making of process of the art and turned this static art into a performance art for digital media. Online videos, GIFs and typographical social media posts were created using Ebru to promote Netflix Turkey.
Execution
Collaborating with Garip Ay, we have experimented different Ebru techniques that will fit in the world of the shows. 3 online videos, 6 GIFs and 4 Typographical posters have been crafted without any special effects or additional software. The campaign continued for 2 weeks on Netflix Turkey’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Outcome
We spent no media budget.
The videos are viewed more than 76.000 times.
8.3 million total impressions have been created.
In 3 days, Netflix Turkey’s social media accounts have gained more than 10.000 followers in 3 days from 0.
