This is an epic live-action spot for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, a highly anticipated video game that comes out on November 11th. "My intention was to make the spot feel like a trailer for a feature film that doesn't exist yet," comments the director. "I wanted to make the world of the game feel as real as possible and capture the action in-camera, in contrast to the majority of the game trailers which rely heavily on CG."The game takes place in the imaginary land of of the Nords in the midst of a civil war. The main storyline revolves around player character's attempts to defeat Alduin, the Nordic god of destruction who terrorizes the population of Skyrim in the form of a gigantic dragon. The player character is the a dragon hunter (Dragonborn), anointed by the gods to help fend off the threat posed by Alduin…The spot was filmed in Prague over 3 shoot days. Close to 100 extras, custom costumes and wardrobe, stunts, pyrotechnics, animals and children made the production a real challenge. It was shot on 35mm film in anamorphic format.
