The ad was shown on TV only a few times. The ad was then emailed to a select few telling of how the authorities wanted to ban it. ‘It was so good they had to see it.’
Outcome
Success of the promotion.Sales of Lift Plus rose 32%.It was posted by the target audience onto over 100 web sites.Posted 50 times alone on Youtube.It was viewed over 2,000,000 times on line.It spawned countless spoofs, as guys in their teens and early twenties played this prank on their mates, videoed it and also posted it on line.It’s now rated as one of the best viral videos of 2007.
