Description
The setting is in a high school. After class, some friends are taking pictures in the classroom with an iPhone. When they check the pictures they took in the iPhone's camera roll, it suddenly turns into a stop motion video. We get a first-person view of one student holding the iPhone as she walks around the school. Meanwhile, a fantastical story develops as her hand's finger swipes the camera roll on the iPhone she is looking at.
Execution
We shot a first-person video of a stop motion animation made with the iPhone's camera roll. These two recordings form two layers of the final video. Since the movement of the animation in the part using the camera roll feature is directly related to the finger's movement, the user may fast-forward, move in slow motion, or even play it in reverse. We made it a point to use analog techniques not only for the video production method, but also for the replay technique.
