Description

To design a poster that will arouse people’s attention to the issue of global warming. The poster should communicate in a manner that is not threatening and be able to stimulate positive change in actions.

Execution

This poster may appear neat at first, but the viewer will soon discover something odd. It is because a beautiful flower garden is actually a barren ground for polar bears and penguins.

To express this beautiful but unrealistic scene in a paradoxical way, simple monotone animal illustrations were screen printed on the flower-patterned wallpaper. The main copy “Global warming” just goes in one line as a keyword that will make viewers to think through the meaning once again.

Outcome

We’ve got some good responses, and this will be the starting point for a campaign in various advertising media.
