During soccer season, ESPN keeps football fans entertained with 100s of ‘live’ matches. It wanted to build affinity with football fans in Singapore by keep the same excitement and engagement going even during lull periods.
ESPN took over the country’s most prominent LED screen and turned it into the ESPN Football Clock. The digits on this 24-hr clock were formed using players’ jersey number. Question was: Which team to tell the time? This was where the fans came into play. Any fan could get their favourite team onto the Football Clock simply by vote using their smartphone. The higher the votes, the higher the chances of winning. For once, fans decided the fate of their team’s glory. This really got them ticking.
