We took a pristine 1950’s Ford Fairlane, and gave it to a couple of New Zealand electric car conversion pioneers who cut it open, ripped out it’s rotten gas fuelled heart and rebuilt it as a petrol head’s ultimate nightmare - an electric machine. Next we leaked the story about Evie, the classic who’d been given a new lease of life. Boy racers and combustion engine lovers across the country were up in arms. Then, with the anger at fever pitch, Evie was sent on a nationwide tour with her first public outing at Beach Hop 2018, New Zealand’s largest petrol head festival. And to make even more of an impact we arranged for Evie to lead the opening parade.
