Traditionally, HIV/AIDS awareness campaigns have used scare tactics to prevent people from contracting the disease, but what about the huge percentage of South Africans that already have and live with HIV/AIDS? We wanted to let these people, as well as the communities they live in, know that with the right support and medication they can still experience all those wonderful moments a normal life gives. We targeted vulnerable communities where the largest population of people living with HIV/AIDS reside, by placing the campaign in numerous community newspapers.
