Description

McDonald’s believes in families and family time and wanted to express these beliefs in a brand commercial. The commercial aims to make one simple point – that the most important things you can give your family are your presence and your time. And if you can do that, through good times and bad, then you will remain close for life.

Execution

Casting for this TV commercial was challenging because it features one child growing up – from a baby to an adult. We had to be very careful when selecting cast so that viewers always thought the lead character was the same girl, only a bit older in each scene. We paid particular attention to skin tone and facial features, making sure there were close similarities among all the actresses. By giving the actresses the same unique hairstyle throughout the commercial we made it easier to believe it was the same girl.
