Cars from action blockbusters, cars from fairytales, cars from comedies. We had cars for everyone, and it showed with the online reactions. Every post was followed with passionate debate over which car they loved more.
Execution
We open on the Batmobile, Ghostbusters car and K.I.T.T. driving to Walmart’s Grocery Pickup. Lightning McQueen from “Cars” pulls out of the parking lot as the Mutt Cutts van from “Dumb and Dumber” recklessly drives in. We cut to a series of Walmart assistants loading famous cars with fresh groceries as humorous moments happen with each car including: Lou Glutz’s Truckster, Mystery Machine, Batmobile, Jurassic Park Explorer.
An assistant places a pumpkin on the ground and stares in awe as it grows into Cinderella’s carriage. The Flintstones’ car gets loaded with groceries before Slimer from “Ghostbusters” slimes a Walmart assistant.
Bumblebee runs in, transforms into a VW Beetle and pops the trunk for an assistant. Finally, the DeLorean from “Back to the Future” lands in the Pickup area. Customers look in awe, wondering what’s going on. Then, K.I.T.T. rolls up and replies “It’s the future”.
