Pedestrian crossings in Switzerland are yellow. Fries are yellow. Normally the city of Zürich would not allow any advertising using official traffic signs. This promotion ran during the Zürich Fäscht, a public party involving the whole city. During this time no cars were allowed in the city and we gained permission to use the crossing for our purposes.
Outcome
Although we do not have exact figures (something like this cannot be measured), it was a huge success. Customers entering the outlet nearby quoted the promotion, we had local press coverage and the whole thing was the talk of the town.
