We created the appearance that an “artist” was at the Music Awards show via two animated 5-second “mini-commercials” running right before the commercial break. One showed the singer arriving in his limousine with a “United against mediocre food” t-shirt. The second showed the singer among the “audience” attending the show.The website supports the cause by allowing visitors to view the entire video and learn that Wendy’s is the solution to the probem of mediocre food.
Outcome
The launch of the spot through Premio Lo Nuestro was written up in the New York Times and generated considerable buzz inside and outside of the Hispanic community.
