SanlamConnect is a chain of stores that offers financial advice and analyses client’s finances in order to give an accurate picture of what their financial future might hold if they save and invest. We were briefed to create a campaign raising the awareness of this service and encouraging visitors to the stores.
Execution
Our solution was to provide a campaign that showed the potential dreams of the future that consumers could have. In the ambient component of the campaign, we promoted the service and its precision, by placing highly detailed messages in a medium notorious for its vagueness and imprecision. The fortune cookies were handed out in local restaurants and in the shopping malls where SanlamConnect stores were to be found. The 'fortunes' directed people to go to their local SanlamConnect store.
Outcome
5000 fortune cookies were given out in the first week and the response was phenomenal. The Sanlam Connect stores received unprecedented numbers of walk-in customers and a lot of word of mouth interest was generated.
