The fundamental cause of wildfires is the speed at which a small, harmless fire can become a fully-fledged wildfire. We wanted to demonstrate this speed, as opposed to just talking about it. By die-cutting the posters, we were able to communicate the concept instantly.

Interest in what the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry do, and the amount of new volunteers that have joined fire-fighting programs have both increased. One sure result has been the response and understanding by the general public of the overall message.
