The combination of CGI and feature film creates a tonality of balancing the children’s fantasies and imagination, and their severe daily circumstances. These children have visions, dreams and hopes for the future, just like any other child, and to bring this type of idea to life needs a certain sensitivity in the creative choices. We wanted to balance the emotional dial, perfect the cast of the children and the look of the CGI. Through the craftsmanship and creative choices we made, the film evokes an urgency and hope for a future that can’t wait.
