OVERVIEW

Description

In order to announce a new nonstop flight from NYC, a campaign was created that depicts a delicate continuous line that connects something distinctly New York to something distinctly Tahitian. The images are linked with the URL www.nyctotahitinonstop.com. Once the viewer arrives at the site the continuous line becomes animated and takes them on a journey from New York to Tahiti. They can then learn more about Tahiti and book a trip.

Execution

Launched March 1, 2005 with www.nyctotahitinonstop.com and outdoor. A neon execution was posted in Times Square. A 20-foot sculpture was hung on a city wall. Print and online advertising began April 1. April 25-29 featured Tahiti Non-stop Week where we brought Tahiti and Manhattan together. A 42-foot sculpture hung in the Time Warner Center above a Tahitian dance performance. The website was turned into a commercial and projected on walls around the city. The week culminated with a launch party featuring the President of Tahiti. Holistic support was furthered by coffee cups, brochures and calendars and t-shirts.
