Background
At a time when Flipkart was rapidly ramping up its operations and manpower, the company was faced with the challenge of sieving through thousands of job applications. To discerningly evaluate each CV was no mean feat, especially when the need of the hour was to swiftly find the right candidates.
In addition, a number of applicants had to spend hours scouring the Internet; trying to find the best platform to reach out to the recruiters in the company.
There was a dire need to find a way to engage the right kind of talent and ensure they had the means to apply almost instantly.
Execution
We started out with the intent of creating a homepage that would engage one and all, irrespective of the audience. The Indian mindset relishes emotional content and therefore, we decided to narrate the humane side of Flipkart's story. Hand-drawn sketches were made to capture the journey of two young Indian men who started out with nothing more than a dream and built a billion-dollar company in less than a decade. Every other page was approached similarly and discerningly designed - based on its purpose (information dissemination and / or reader engagement).
The turnaround time we set for ourselves was 1 month and we successfully completed the required tasks within the given timeline.
