Description

The main objectives of the corporate website are: provide the company with a distinctive online corporate presence; deliver content and services relevant to each target audience; ensure the easy migration of online traffic around the group's operating company websites. Target audiences: all stakeholders - customers, media, investors (private and institutional), employees and environmental, social and community audiences. Synopsis of the site: the home page that includes a flash generated centre section that is easily updated whenever J Sainsbury have a major announcement or seek to launch a company report (eg: annual). The website's interior home pages are specific to each stakeholder audience and have their own URL's and content and invitation elements designed to draw in the user and help them to bookmark that internal home page. Each internal microsite (eg: for investors) is self-contained and has extensive information designed just for that audience. The content is actively managed so that news is updated once a statement is released to the Stock Exchange and other content changes to the website are timely. The online communications strategy around the website is continually under review and development programmes for the site's content, structure and services are used to drive the website forward.
