Background
Because of Norwegian media legislation, Norwegian adult
store Kondomeriet, isn't allowed to advertise most of
its products, and most of its advertising is only allowed
aired on late night TV.
Brands like Kondomeriet are even banned from advertising and promoting their posts on facebook and Youtube, leaving their marketing reach very limited.
Execution
Since we're not allowed to show any explicit products in our advertising, we have to rely heavily on metaphors. Since the film is a celebration of Kondomeriets thirty year anniversary, what would be more natural than cakes and jelly? But even though the visuals are metaphors, they still have to portray lust and temptations. So we had to create to most tempting foodporn the audience has seen. This meant finding the right metaphors, and letting the audience make the dirty connections in their own mind.
