Description
The premise for this commercial was to conduct an orchestral performance using instruments fashioned from parts of the new Ford Focus. From this simple idea came the challenge of creating instruments from the car that could produce credible, beautiful music. Authenticity was key.Designing and building the instruments took over two months. An orchestra of experienced session musicians rehearsed over just one day. The ensemble spent two days recording the individual elements of the track, a short time considering the unusual nature of the instruments. The orchestra then performed the piece live for the shooting of the finished film.
