OVERVIEW

Description

We created name tags that resembled the "Hello my name is…" tags that are usually worn at meetings and conferences. Instead of your name, however, these tags asked for the personal information that phishing scams attempt to collect. An example read "Hello – my credit card number is", followed by the line "You wouldn't give out your information here, then why do it online?"

Outcome

54.4 million modified media impressions were generated from the press conference and the VISA anti-phishing website received over 16,000 hits. VISA Canada and their partners were thrilled at the press response to the issue and the name tags.
