A Facebook app creates a personalised News Report all about you, built using the latest technology platforms to deliver an individual experience. Every Report uses data available from Facebook and Foursquare in a smart way, matching it against behaviour rules to derive satirical stories about the user. Our news readers then deliver the stories in a humorous way with added personalisation through the use of text-to-speech software. With 45 minutes of customisable footage behind the site, there are literally millions of possible unique video combinations that can be made, and millions of different videos that people will want to share.

Outcome

Mentos Fresh News has so far achieved almost 35k unique visitors, providing to be a very engaging experience with a dwell time of over 4.5 minutes and a 17% bounce rate. It has also performed well internally, being adopted and translated by several local markets. Fresh News showed our audience that Mentos is still cutting edge, knows how to be a bit irreverent, as well as provide them with a valuable and fun experience - something that they didn’t expect from their dear old friend Mentos. It really was first step on Mentos’ road to helping the world be fresher.
