Background
There are a million sports app’s (well, maybe it’s more like 15), and they all range from “suck” to “meh”. Fox Sports KNOWS we can beat “sucks”, and we’re pretty confident we can top “meh. So Fox Sports has launched a new sports App.
Idea
Juxtapose “expected” sports app improvements (easier to read scores) and never before seen improvements (a Broadway musical composer scoring nightly NBA highlights) in the same straight forward manner to show the innovative design and tech in the new Fox Sports app.
Strategy
No other sports app lets you experience the true emotions of the sports you love.
Execution
We began our creative discussions in the middle of June (2020), went through several rounds of scripting and by the time we'd gotten it approved through the various corporate levels, were ready to shoot in August.
The target delivery date was the first week of our College Football and NFL coverage, which is where it premiered.
For being a shoot and production that had the creative teams remote, we were able to pull off a fairly large scaled shoot, which we were all very pleased with.
Outcome
Spot aired during our 1st weekend of College Football and NFL coverage which led to a spike in downloads and highly rated reviews.
