GEO broke with a taboo and used funeral wreaths as an advertising vehicle. These were laid out at various North Sea and Baltic Sea beaches over Whitsun. Since you rarely see wreaths here, they were incredibly eye-catching.
Outcome
The over-fishing issue was one of the best sold issues of the year.
