We decided to treat the “Israeli Business Convention” not as a convention but as a business meeting: Instead of a regular Email, we used an Email OUTLOOK appointment to invite the clients to the meeting!
The meeting summons replicated a daily MS OUTLOOK meeting notice, and planted the “meeting” directly into the addressees' actual schedules, exactly like in the original OUTLOOK application!In addition, the meeting summons pop up a day before the convention to remind the addressees about it and give them a last call to order tickets
Outcome
Over 50% of the addressees accepted the invitation to the meeting.The convention itself was sold-out and broke a 14 year record for attendance.In fact, this convention became the largest Globes convention ever.
