Description

We created a film with no celebrities, featuring every day fans doing real world trick shots of their own. Shot in Brazil, with lots of patience, the film was shot completely in camera with no CGI effects. These unique futbol trick shots prove that McDonald’s celebrates great feats by every fan.

Execution

The unique production aspect for McDonald’s GOL! was the way that all of our trick shots were captured. They were all realized in camera with no CG. The number of takes it took to capture each trick shot varied from 15 to 80 tries. In some cases, it was necessary for us to drive a truck 50 mph while kicking a ball over a bridge and into a garbage bin on the same moving truck, which admittedly took the most tries. For each setup we had two principle cameras and rigged the area and targets with several GoPro cameras to ‘prove’ each made shot. All shots had one thing in common: they were each made only once. The shots you see in the film were the final take each time.
