OVERVIEW

Description

In Japanese recruitment websites, it is usually a practice for companies to demonstrate the story of "a day as a staff member". It is hoped that visitors can grab a solid image of what the life will be after joining the company. However, we do not want our target audience to only imagine the future of their own, but also the future of the society - which would closely related to the advertising industry. While the story appears to be fictional, predictions are supported by real data so that the output appears real and fun.

Execution

By simply uploading one face photo(*1) to the website, a fictional timeline of year 20XX, supported by more than 10,000 rows of actual data(*2), appears. The timeline also comes with a story of a typical day as an HAKUHODO staff at that time, allowing the participants to imagine how their career would be in the future.

*1 The face photo is compared with several "average faces" formed by 700 junior employees in HAKUHODO, depending on their job nature (such as Account Servicing and Creative), to find the nearest match. The story of the fictional timeline is also associated with the face match result.

*2 Stories are backed up with reports from the HAKUHODO Institute of Life and Living that analyzes actual newspaper and online news from the past. While the timeline appears to be fictional, simulation results are supported with reliability with a certain extent.

Outcome

500,000 sessions of website traffic is recorded with 100,000 users participated. Number of applicants increased by 110% to last year.
