We transformed regular shopping carts into Healthy Shopping Carts, equipped sensors in the handle bars that measured heart rate, caloric consumption and distance traveled for our costumers. The Healthy Shopping Cart also displayed nutritional recommendations that popped-up as users walked through the aisles.
Outcome
In a very simple way, we showed our costumers how easy it is to exercise, and the many benefits it has for their health, while also motivating them to live better.
In just one week, the average time spent in Walmart went from 90 minutes to 112 minutes per customer.
Most of the customers that visit Walmart Costa Rica have already used the Healthy Shopping Cart, and the idea is currently being implemented for the rest of Central America.
