In December 2007 Heineken Netherlands launched the world’s first geo-blogging campaign. On www.heineken.nl you could track the Delivery Men live on their delivery run. On their routes, the Heineken Delivery Men carried phones with built-in GPS. This allowed people to track their route live online.
Visitors could also play a game on the site. Guess the delivery men's next bar stop as fast as you can and win!This unique campaign has been developed together with bliin.com, a Dutch geo-blogging internet startup. The campaign literally brought Heineken’s slogan ‘Serving the planet’ to life and generated a lot of global media-attention.
