Description

Sometimes the cure can be the first step toward change. Our ~17-minute documentary film chronicles the stories of four people and their struggles with addiction and illness. They vary in age, sexual orientation, and background, yet they share a common bond: they tested positive for the Hep C virus due to IV drug use. The protagonists reveal intimate details of the descent into addiction and the toll it took on them, from homelessness and prostitution to abuse and attempted suicide. They also share their struggles to find a physician who will treat their Hep C, let alone treat them like a human being. Ultimately, we see firsthand how curing Hep C placed these four patients on a path to recovery and redemption.
