OVERVIEW

Idea

A powerful story celebrating a mother’s love, this film shows a love that knows no language or borders. This film also highlights the plight of refugees who have left everything behind, lost their families in the process, and are forced to start all over again. In this situation, we witness a little girl who has lost her family and home, she is lost and left with nothing of her own. She makes her way to the refuge camp where she finds a new family and home in the doctor that helps her. A mother’s love has no boundaries and this film commemorates that relationship.

Execution

This film is not limited to any specific culture, rather is a story that has no language and captures a relationship that is celebrated across the world. We hear the plight of refugees every day every where and seeing their perspective leaves you with a lot to think about. The setting begins with an unsettling feeling and ends on a high where the audience is filled with warmth and hope, emphasizing on a mother’s love. It was important to capture the authenticity of showing a refugee camp. Lots of research went behind making every setup to ensure we capture the right essence without limiting it to one particular location that would be alien to some viewers.
